AUGUSTA

MAY,4 TH 2011

Continuing our stay in Augusta.

 The Jewel Caves

This is the skeleton of an animal that fell through the hole in the roof.

Caves today 512 steps. Can't wait need the exercise. The Jewel Caves discovered in 1957 opened in 1959. It is 59 mt rs under ground.

Before leaving we saw Wendy and Bill heading for the Tour so we waited for them to finish then we all went for a drive to Cosy corner and Hamlyn Bay to see what the beaches were like. Cosy not so cosy, see weed everywhere and the water not so great. Hamlyn Bay a lot better and the water was clear and sand white.

Thursday

Rest day and clean up for the road ahead in the morning. Heading for Margaret River.

Friday, 6th 2011.

Margaret River and we are staying at a big 4 FARM STAY.

Just before arriving to the Farm stay we went to another Furniture Boutique to look at the tables. John and l found one the cost $36,000 but we left it there for someone else to purchase.

Furniture Boutique. This one was the best one.

Now this is amazing. We were told to watch out for these trees while driving here. Marika is with the group of us, as the friends from the Central Coast. She is an artist and had been out and painted these trees and told us about them. We were amazed at how accurate she had been in her painting that only took her a couple of hours. She would be finishing it when she returned home but the work that she had already painted was picture perfect. Fabulous pictures.

KARRI AND JAR AH trees

These are our Farm Stay friends. We went to the Farmers markets while we were here and they got the pieces  that we didn't want.
